Good Price Pharmacy Brendale: Powering Up with a 34.2kW Solar Solution

Project Overview:

Gardel Electrical & Solar was contracted by Good Price Pharmacy Brendale in December 2021 to design and install a comprehensive solar PV system.

Project Goals:

• Reduced energy consumption: Minimise reliance on the grid and lower electricity bills for the pharmacy.
• Enhanced sustainability: Contribute to environmental responsibility by generating clean, renewable energy.

The Approach:

• Collaborative design: Gardel Electrical & Solar’s team collaborated closely with the pharmacy to understand their energy usage and design a tailored 34.2kW system.
• Aesthetics in mind: The system prioritises functionality while maintaining a visually appealing design that complements the pharmacy’s building.
• Quality & compliance: The team’s meticulous installation ensures each panel is perfectly aligned and adheres to all relevant Australian and local standards.
• Premium Materials: The system utilises top-tier products, including:
  • 80 Canadian Solar 450W HiKu Mono CS3W-450MS panels
  • 1 Fronius ECO 27.0-3-S 27kW three-phase inverter
  • 1 Fronius three-phase smart meter
  • Clenergy PV-ezRack SolarRoof racking system, specifically chosen for the roof profile

Project Outcomes:

• Significant energy generation: The system consistently produces over 150kWh of clean energy daily, reducing the pharmacy’s reliance on the grid.
• Reduced carbon footprint: In the four months since its installation, the system generated over 20 MWh (equivalent to 20,000kWh) of clean energy, contributing to a more sustainable future.
• Improved self-consumption rate: The system boasts a 60% self-consumption rate, maximising energy use within the pharmacy and minimising grid dependence.
